在很远很远的地方，有一个我们用眼睛看不到、却用心灵可以感受到的神奇王国。这个王国不在高高的云朵上面，也不在深深的大海下面，而是在每一个小朋友的身体里面。这个王国的名字叫做——运动王国。
In a place so far away that we cannot see it with our eyes, but can feel it with our hearts, there exists a magical kingdom. This kingdom is not on the clouds high above, nor is it in the depths of the vast ocean. Instead, it lives inside every child's body. The name of this kingdom is——Movement Kingdom.
有一天清晨，当第一缕阳光穿过窗帘的缝隙，轻轻地落在小女孩小美的枕头边时，运动王国里发生了一件大事。国王"筋筋"正在召开紧急会议，他坐在由弹簧做成的宝座上，眉头皱得像麻花一样。
One morning, when the first rays of sunlight filtered through the curtains and gently landed on little Mei's pillow, something big was happening in Movement Kingdom. King "Stretchy" was holding an emergency meeting. He sat on his throne made of springs, his brow furrowed like a pretzel.
"各位大臣！"国王筋筋大声说道，"我有一个重要的任务要交给你们。听说外面有个叫小美的小朋友，她已经很久没有好好运动了。她的王国正在慢慢变得灰暗，小精灵们也都打不起精神来。"
"Ministers!" King Stretchy called out loudly. "I have an important mission for all of you. I've heard there's a child named Mei outside, and she hasn't been exercising properly for a very long time. Her kingdom is slowly turning gray, and the little sprites are losing their spirit."
大臣们你看看我，我看看你，谁也不敢接下这个任务。就在这时，一个小小的声音从王座的后面传了出来。
"我来试试吧，陛下！"一个圆滚滚、亮晶晶的小精灵从宝座后面探出了小脑袋。
The ministers looked at each other, and no one dared to accept this mission. Just then, a tiny voice emerged from behind the throne.
"I'll give it a try, Your Majesty!" A round, sparkling little sprite poked her little head out from behind the throne.
国王筋筋低头一看，不由得露出了微笑。这个小精灵浑身散发着淡淡的绿色光芒，就像春天刚发芽的小草一样充满活力。她的眼睛又大又亮，像是两颗会说话的小星星。
"哦，是动动啊！"国王笑着说，"你是我最得力的小助手。这个任务交给你，我最放心了。"
King Stretchy looked down and couldn't help but smile. This little sprite was surrounded by a soft green glow, just like the tender grass sprouting in spring, full of vitality. Her eyes were big and bright, like two little stars that could talk.
"Oh, it's Dongdong!" the King laughed. "You are my most capable little helper. I feel most at ease entrusting this mission to you."
小精灵动动得意地转了个圈，绿色的光芒在王宫里划出一道美丽的弧线。
"陛下请放心！"动动拍了拍自己圆滚滚的小肚子，信心满满地说，"我一定会让小美知道运动王国有多么神奇，让她重新喜欢上运动的！"
Little sprite Dongdong twirled proudly, leaving a beautiful arc of green light across the palace.
"Please don't worry, Your Majesty!" Dongdong patted her round little tummy confidently. "I will definitely show Mei how magical Movement Kingdom is, and make her fall in love with exercise again!"
就这样，小精灵动动踏上了她的旅程。她从运动王国的中心广场出发，那里有一个巨大的旋转木马，每一个木马都代表一种不同的运动技能。动动骑上了一匹棕色的小马，这匹小马会带着她穿过书本的页面，来到小美的身边。
Thus, little sprite Dongdong began her journey. She set off from the central square of Movement Kingdom, where there was a giant carousel. Each horse on the carousel represented a different motor skill. Dongdong climbed onto a little brown horse, and this horse would carry her through the pages of the book to reach little Mei.
在出发之前，让我们先来认识一下这位可爱的小精灵吧！
Before she set off, let's get to know this lovely sprite!
动动的个子小小的，大概只有小美的一根手指头那么高。她的身体圆圆的，像一个小小的网球，但是软软的，摸起来凉凉的，特别舒服。她的头上顶着两片小小的叶子，这两片叶子会根据她的心情变换颜色。当她开心的时候，叶子是鲜艳的绿色；当她安静思考的时候，叶子会变成淡淡的紫色；当她努力工作时，叶子会闪耀着金色的光芒。
Dongdong is tiny, about the height of one of Mei's fingers. Her body is round like a tiny tennis ball, but soft and cool to the touch, very comfortable. On her head are two little leaves, which change color depending on her mood. When she's happy, the leaves are a vibrant green. When she's thinking quietly, they turn a soft purple. When she's working hard, they sparkle with golden light.
动动有一双超级大的眼睛，占了她整张脸的三分之一。这双眼睛可不简单，它们能看到小朋友们身体里每一个细微的变化——肌肉有没有在努力工作，关节有没有在灵活转动，骨骼有没有在慢慢变得更强壮。
Dongdong has a pair of super big eyes that take up one-third of her entire face. These eyes are extraordinary—they can see every tiny change happening inside children's bodies. They can see whether muscles are working hard, whether joints are moving flexibly, whether bones are gradually becoming stronger.
动动的背上有一对薄薄的翅膀，这翅膀像蜻蜓的翅膀一样透明，但又比蜻蜓的翅膀更加漂亮。阳光照在上面，会折射出彩虹一样的光芒。翅膀虽小，但扇动起来却很有力量，可以让动动在天空中自由地飞翔。
Dongdong has a pair of thin wings on her back, transparent like dragonfly wings but even more beautiful. When sunlight shines on them, they reflect rainbow-colored light. Though small, when she flaps them, they are quite powerful and allow Dongdong to fly freely through the sky.
动动的脚丫子也很有意思，是圆形的，像两个小小的吸盘。别看她腿短，跳跃起来可厉害了，最高可以跳到自己身高的十倍呢！
Dongdong's feet are also interesting—they're round, like two tiny suction cups. Don't let her short legs fool you, though; she can jump really high, up to ten times her own height!
这就是动动，一个充满活力、善良勇敢的小精灵。现在，让我们跟着她一起，踏上前往运动王国的旅程吧！

小美今年七岁了，正在上小学一年级。她有一个温馨的家，有爱她的爸爸妈妈，还有一只叫毛毛的小花猫。可是最近，小美有一个小小的烦恼——她觉得自己好像不太喜欢运动了。
Mei is seven years old this year and is in first grade of primary school. She has a warm home, parents who love her, and a little flower cat named Fluffy. However, recently, Mei has a small worry—she feels like she doesn't really like exercise anymore.
以前上幼儿园的时候，小美最喜欢在操场上跑来跑去了。她会和小伙伴们一起玩捉迷藏，会骑着滑板车在花园里转圈，还会在草地上翻跟头。可是自从上了小学，小美发现玩耍的时间变少了，每天都有好多作业要做。周末的时候，小美更愿意窝在沙发上看看动画片，而不是出去运动。
Before, when she was in kindergarten, Mei loved running around on the playground the most. She would play hide-and-seek with her friends, ride her scooter around the garden, and do somersaults on the grass. But ever since starting primary school, Mei found that playtime had decreased, and there were so many assignments to do every day. On weekends, Mei preferred to snuggle on the sofa and watch cartoons rather than go outside and exercise.
慢慢地，小美的身体开始变得有点不一样了。早上起床的时候，她会觉得身体有点僵硬，不像以前那样灵活。跑步的时候，她很快就累了，不像以前那样可以跑好久好久。还有一个小秘密，小美不敢告诉别人——她好像变得比以前更容易生病了。
Slowly, Mei's body began to feel a little different. When she woke up in the morning, she felt a bit stiff, not as agile as before. When she ran, she got tired easily, unlike before when she could run for a long time. There's also a little secret Mei doesn't dare tell others—she seems to get sick more easily than before.
小美不知道的是，她的这些变化，其实都和运动王国有关。当小美不愿意运动的时候，运动王国里的每一个小精灵都变得没有精神了。大肌肉国的跳跳将军只能躺在草地上发呆，平衡山谷的摇摇仙子飞不动了，就连灵活手指国的小巧们也懒得动动他们的手指头了。
What Mei didn't know was that all these changes were actually related to Movement Kingdom. When Mei wasn't willing to exercise, every sprite in Movement Kingdom lost their spirit. General Jumpy from Big Muscle Country could only lie on the grass staring blankly. The Balancing Fairies from Balance Valley couldn't fly anymore. Even the Dexterous ones from Dexterity Fingers Country were too lazy to move their little fingers.
动动骑着棕色的小马，穿过一道闪着光芒的彩虹门，就来到了小美的房间。哇，小美的房间好温馨啊！墙上贴着她画的画，书架上摆着她喜欢的绘本，窗台上还有一盆她亲手种的小花。
Dongdong rode her little brown horse through a shining rainbow door and arrived at Mei's room. Wow, Mei's room was so cozy! There were drawings she had made on the walls, picture books she loved on the bookshelf, and a little flower she had planted herself on the windowsill.
可是，动动很快就发现了一些不对劲的地方。小美的运动王国里，很多地方都变得灰蒙蒙的，原本闪闪发光的道路也变得暗淡了。森林里的小精灵们无精打采地靠在树干上，山顶上那座据说能让全身都强壮起来的力量之塔也失去了往日的光芒。
However, Dongdong quickly noticed something was wrong. In Mei's Movement Kingdom, many places had turned gray. The roads that used to shine brightly had become dim. The little sprites in the forest leaned weakly against the tree trunks, and the Tower of Strength on the mountaintop—that was supposed to make the whole body strong—had lost its former radiance.
"看来小美真的很久没有好好运动了。"动动皱了皱眉头，她头上的叶子也从鲜艳的绿色变成了有点暗淡的颜色。
"It seems Mei really hasn't been exercising properly for a long time." Dongdong frowned, and the leaves on her head changed from a vibrant green to a somewhat duller color.
动动决定先去找运动王国的智慧老人——老博士问问情况。老博士住在王国的图书馆里，那里收藏着关于运动的一切知识。动动顺着发光的小路走啊走，终于来到了一座用书本堆成的高塔前。
Dongdong decided to first go ask the wise old man of Movement Kingdom—Old Doctor—for advice. Old Doctor lived in the kingdom's library, which housed all the knowledge about exercise. Dongdong walked along the glowing path until she finally arrived at a tall tower made of stacked books.
"老博士！老博士！"动动在塔下大声喊道。
"Old Doctor! Old Doctor
