森林里的新挑战

清晨的阳光像金色的蜂蜜一样，从树叶的缝隙间滴落下来，洒在翠绿的草地上。森林里的小动物们刚刚醒来，鸟儿们在枝头唱着欢快的歌曲，露珠在花瓣上跳着晶莹的舞蹈。这是一个美丽的新日子，充满了无限的可能。

在这片神奇的森林深处，住着一只小狐狸，名叫菲菲。菲菲有一身火红色的皮毛，油亮油亮的，就像秋天的枫叶一样漂亮。她的尾巴蓬松柔软，像一条红色的大围巾，在身后摇来摇去。最特别的是菲菲的眼睛，圆圆的，亮亮的，像两颗会说话的星星，里面总是闪烁着聪明和好奇的光芒。

菲菲最喜欢和朋友们一起玩耍了。她的好朋友可真多呀！有胖乎乎的小熊冬冬，他虽然长得壮壮的，但胆子小小的，最喜欢玩捉迷藏，因为他觉得自己藏得很好，从来不会被发现。还有活泼可爱的小兔子白白，她的耳朵长长的，跑起来一蹦一跳的，像一团白色的云朵在草地上飘来飘去。白白特别特别喜欢吃胡萝卜蛋糕，每次吃东西的时候，她的三瓣嘴一动一动，可爱极了。

除此之外，森林里还有许多其他小伙伴：有会唱歌的小鸟啾啾，有爱画画的小松鼠坚果，还有总是慢吞吞的乌龟慢慢。他们每天都会在森林中央的大橡树下见面，一起玩游戏，一起分享好吃的东西，一起度过快乐的时光。

可是，最近菲菲有点不开心。

The morning sun poured down like golden honey through the gaps in the leaves, spilling onto the emerald-green grass. The little forest creatures were just waking up. Birds sang cheerful songs on the branches, and dewdrops danced on flower petals. It was a beautiful new day, full of endless possibilities.

Deep in this magical forest lived a little fox named Fei Fei. Fei Fei had fiery red fur that was sleek and shiny, just like autumn maple leaves. Her fluffy tail was soft and full, like a big red scarf swaying behind her. What was most special about Fei Fei were her eyes — round and bright, like two little stars that could talk, always sparkling with cleverness and curiosity.

Fei Fei loved playing with her friends the most. She had so many good friends! There was the chubby little bear Dongdong, who was big and strong but actually quite shy. He loved playing hide-and-seek the most because he thought he was so good at hiding that no one could ever find him. There was also the lively bunny Baibai, with long ears that bounced as she hopped across the meadow like a white cloud floating across the green grass. Baibai was especially fond of carrot cake, and when she ate, her little three-part mouth went nibble nibble nibble — so cute!

Besides them, many other little friends lived in the forest: Little Bird Chirpy who could sing beautifully, Little Squirrel Nut who loved to draw, and Slowpoke the turtle who was always, well, slow. Every day, they would meet under the big oak tree in the center of the forest, playing games together, sharing yummy food, and spending happy times together.

But recently, Fei Fei had been feeling a bit unhappy.

“那就玩捉迷藏吧！”白白也同意了。

于是大家开始玩起来。可是玩了几轮之后，菲菲觉得有点无聊了。她想：“捉迷藏是挺好玩的，但我们每天都玩这个，已经玩了好多次了。我想玩点不一样的！”

于是菲菲鼓起勇气说：“小伙伴们，我们能不能玩点别的呀？比如过家家，或者警察抓小偷？”

可是冬冬不同意。他嘟着嘴巴说：“不行不行，捉迷藏最好玩了！我就想玩捉迷藏！”

白白也说：“可是我已经答应冬冬了呀，我们就继续玩捉迷藏吧。”

菲菲有点失望，但她还是跟着大家一起继续玩捉迷藏。她藏在树后面，心里却在想：“为什么每次都是冬冬说了算呀？”

It was a sunny afternoon the week before. The little friends gathered again under the oak tree.

"What game should we play?" asked Little Bird Chirpy, tilting her little head, her feathers sparkling in the sunlight.

"I want to play hide-and-seek!" Little Bear Dongdong immediately raised his paw — he loved this game the most.

"I want to play hide-and-seek too!" Fei Fei agreed, thinking it was a good idea.

"Then let's play hide-and-seek!" Baibai agreed too.

So they started playing. But after a few rounds, Fei Fei started to feel bored. She thought, "Hide-and-seek is fun, but we've been playing it every day. We've played it so many times already. I want to try something different!"

So Fei Fei gathered her courage and said, "Little friends, can we play something else? Like playing house, or playing cops and robbers?"

But Dongdong disagreed. He puckered his lips and said, "No no no! Hide-and-seek is the best! I only want to play hide-and-seek!"

Baibai said too, "But I've already agreed with Dongdong. Let's keep playing hide-and-seek."

Fei Fei felt a bit disappointed, but she followed along, continuing to play hide-and-seek. While hiding behind a tree, she thought to herself, "Why does Dongdong always get to decide everything?"

又过了几天，这天是小松鼠坚果的生日。

大家聚在一起，准备给坚果庆祝生日。白白带来了一块她妈妈做的胡萝卜蛋糕，金黄色的蛋糕上面点缀着红红的胡萝卜丁，看起来美味极了。冬冬带来了一篮子新鲜的蜂蜜果。菲菲则用自己攒了好久的松果，换来了一盒漂亮的彩色画笔，送给坚果画画用。

大家把礼物放在一起，准备切蛋糕了。

“蛋糕真香啊！”啾啾说，“我现在就想吃！”

“先吃蛋糕吧！”白白舔了舔嘴唇，“我好饿呀！”

可是菲菲注意到一个问题。蛋糕只有一块，可是大家都有礼物要拆，还有游戏要玩。如果先吃蛋糕，然后再拆礼物、玩游戏，时间可能不够。

菲菲想了想说：“小伙伴们，我们能不能先拆礼物，然后再吃蛋糕呀？这样我们可以慢慢拆，慢慢看每份礼物，然后带着好心情吃蛋糕。”

白白立刻说：“不行不行！我想吃蛋糕！我先想吃蛋糕！”

冬冬也说：“对对对，蛋糕这么香，当然要先吃啦！菲菲你不懂，饿着肚子拆礼物可不好玩！”

A few days later, it was Little Squirrel Nut's birthday.

Everyone gathered together to celebrate Nut's birthday. Baibai brought a carrot cake her mother made — it was golden yellow with little red carrot pieces on top, looking absolutely delicious. Dongdong brought a basket of fresh honey fruit. Fei Fei had saved up lots of pine cones for a long time to exchange for a box of beautiful colored crayons, to give to Nut for drawing.

Everyone put their gifts together, ready to cut the cake.

"The cake smells so good!" Chirpy said, "I want to eat it now!"

"Let's eat the cake first!" Baibai licked her lips, "I'm so hungry!"

But Fei Fei noticed a problem. There was only one cake, but everyone had gifts to open, and games to play. If they ate the cake first and then opened gifts and played games, they might not have enough time.

Fei Fei thought about it and said, "Little friends, can we open the gifts first and then eat the cake? That way we can open them slowly, look at each gift carefully, and then eat the cake in a good mood."

Baibai immediately said, "No no no! I want to eat the cake! I want to eat it first!"

Dongdong agreed too, "Yeah yeah, the cake smells so good, of course we should eat it first! Fei Fei, you don't understand. Opening gifts on an empty stomach isn't fun!"

菲菲有点不服气，她争辩说：“可是如果先吃蛋糕，吃得太饱了，拆礼物的时候手会脏脏的，而且我们可能就没有心情好好欣赏礼物了呀。”

白白撇撇嘴说：“菲菲你真麻烦！我就是想先吃蛋糕嘛！”

冬冬也点点头说：“白白说得对，菲菲你不要那么多意见啦。”

其他小伙伴们也面面相觑，不知道该怎么办。气氛一下子变得有点尴尬，原本开开心心的生日聚会，好像蒙上了一层小乌云。

菲菲好委屈呀。她明明是想让大家的生日聚会安排得更好呀，为什么大家都不同意她呢？她越想越难过，眼眶红红的，低着头不说话。

最后，虽然大家还是先吃了蛋糕，但菲菲一点都不开心。她觉得好孤独，觉得没有人理解她，觉得自己好像被大家排挤了。

那天晚上回到家，菲菲躲在被窝里，悄悄地哭了。她不明白：“为什么每次都是别人说了算？我就不能有我自己的想法吗？我也想让大家听我的呀！”

Fei Fei felt a bit不服气 — that means she felt like arguing. She said, "But if we eat the cake first and get too full, our hands will be dirty when we open the gifts, and we might not be in the mood to appreciate the gifts properly."

菲菲立刻说：“不行！今天是我选择，就玩森林探险！”

白白也说：“可是我更想玩老鹰抓小鸡呀……”

菲菲想起上次的事情，心里一阵烦躁。她大声说：“我不管！今天必须听我的！我说玩什么就玩什么！”

菲菲这么一喊，小伙伴们都愣住了。他们从来没见过菲菲这么凶的样子。啾啾吓得躲到了树叶后面，坚果吓得抱紧了自己的尾巴，慢慢则把头缩进了壳里。
