在一个阳光明媚的早晨，住在地球上的小女孩萌萌像往常一样，背着小书包走在去学校的路上。街道两旁种满了郁郁葱葱的树木，鸟儿在枝头欢快地唱着歌，空气里弥漫着淡淡的花香。萌萌深吸一口气，感觉今天的天气格外好，心情也跟着明媚起来。
On a bright and sunny morning, little Mengmeng, a girl who lived on planet Earth, walked down the street on her way to school, just like every other day. Along both sides of the road stood rows of lush green trees, little birds sang happily on the branches, and a gentle fragrance of flowers drifted through the air. Mengmeng took a deep breath, feeling that today's weather was especially beautiful, and her mood lifted with it.
就在萌萌经过学校旁边的小公园时，她的目光突然被什么东西吸引住了。公园角落里那棵她最喜欢的大榕树下，不知什么时候多了一个闪闪发光的东西。那个东西看起来像一扇小门，通体散发着柔和的绿色光芒，门框上布满了奇奇怪怪的符号，像是某种神秘的文字。
Just as Mengmeng passed by the little park next to her school, something suddenly caught her eye. Under the big banyan tree she loved most, in the corner of the park, something was sparkling and glowing. It looked like a small door, glowing softly with a gentle green light, and its frame was covered with strange symbols, like some kind of mysterious writing.
“咦？那是什么？”萌萌停下脚步，好奇地歪着小脑袋，眼睛里闪烁着兴奋的光芒。她忍不住走近几步，想要看清楚那扇发光的小门。
"Huh? What's that?" Mengmeng stopped in her tracks, tilting her little head curiously, her eyes sparkling with excitement. She couldn't help but take a few steps closer, wanting to get a better look at that glowing little door.
小门上突然出现了一个小脑袋——原来是一只可爱的小松鼠！这只小松鼠全身的毛是嫩绿色的，两只眼睛又大又亮，尾巴蓬松得像一朵绿色的云朵。小松鼠手里拿着一本小小的书，它用毛茸茸的爪子指了指那扇门，然后叽叽喳喳地叫着，仿佛在说：“快进来看看呀！”
A little head suddenly appeared at the small door—it was an adorable little squirrel! This squirrel had bright green fur, two big sparkling eyes, and a fluffy tail that looked like a green cloud. The squirrel was holding a tiny book in its furry little paw, pointing at the door with it, then chirping excitedly, as if to say: "Come in and take a look!"
萌萌从来就是个勇敢的小姑娘。她蹲下身子，轻轻地推开那扇发光的小门。门一打开，一股温暖的绿色光芒立刻包围了她。萌萌感觉自己的身体变得轻飘飘的，像是被一阵温柔的风托了起来。
Mengmeng had always been a brave little girl. She squatted down and gently pushed open the glowing door. The moment the door opened, a warm green light immediately surrounded her. Mengmeng felt her body become light and airy, as if carried up by a gentle breeze.
当光芒渐渐散去，萌萌发现自己站在一个完全陌生的地方。这里太神奇了！天空是那种清澈透亮的淡蓝色，云朵像是棉花糖一样洁白柔软。远处有一座座奇形怪状的房子，它们的屋顶上种满了五颜六色的花朵，有的房子甚至还长着小翅膀，在天空中慢慢飘浮。地面上铺着柔软的青草，每走一步都能感受到草叶在脚底下轻轻沙沙作响。空气中弥漫着清新甜美的味道，每一次呼吸都让人觉得神清气爽。
When the light gradually faded, Mengmeng found herself standing in a completely unfamiliar place. This place was simply magical! The sky was a clear, translucent light blue, the clouds as white and soft as cotton candy. In the distance stood strange-shaped houses with colorful flowers growing on their rooftops, and some houses even had little wings, floating slowly through the sky. The ground was covered with soft green grass, and with every step, she could feel the grass blades rustling gently beneath her feet. The air was filled with a fresh, sweet scent, and every breath made her feel refreshed and energized.
“天哪！这是什么地方？”萌萌惊讶得张大了嘴巴，眼睛瞪得圆圆的。
"Oh my goodness! Where is this place?" Mengmeng gasped in astonishment, her eyes wide open.
“欢迎来到绿萌星球！”一个清脆悦耳的声音从萌萌身后传来。
"Welcome to Green Sprout Planet!" A clear, melodious voice came from behind Mengmeng.
萌萌转过身去，只见一个晶莹剔透的小精灵正漂浮在她的面前。这个小精灵大约只有手掌那么大，全身是由透明的水滴组成的，在阳光下闪闪发光，就像一颗会飞的小水晶。它的身体里似乎有一颗蓝色的小星星在不停跳动，那是它的心脏。
Mengmeng turned around and saw a delicate little fairy floating right in front of her. This fairy was only about the size of her palm, and its entire body was made of transparent water droplets that sparkled in the sunshine, just like a little flying crystal. Inside its body, there seemed to be a tiny blue star constantly pulsing—that was its heart.
“你好呀！我叫滴滴，是绿萌星球的水滴精灵！”小精灵眨了眨它那像露珠一样明亮的大眼睛，热情地打招呼。
"Hello there! My name is Dididi, the water droplet fairy of Green Sprout Planet!" The little fairy blinked its dewy-bright eyes and greeted her warmly.
“你好，滴滴！我叫萌萌。”萌萌开心地回应道，“这里就是绿萌星球吗？真是太漂亮了！我从来没见过这么美的地方！”
"Hello, Dididi! I'm Mengmeng." Mengmeng replied happily. "So this is Green Sprout Planet? It's so beautiful! I've never seen such a beautiful place!"
滴滴骄傲地挺起小胸脯（如果水滴能有胸脯的话）：“那当然啦！我们绿萌星球可是宇宙中最美丽的星球哦！这里人人都爱护环境，处处都干净整洁。每一棵树、每一朵花、每一条河流都受到大家的精心呵护。”
Dididi proudly puffed out its little chest (if water droplets could have chests): "Of course! Our Green Sprout Planet is the most beautiful planet in the entire universe! Here, everyone takes care of the environment, and everywhere is clean and tidy. Every tree, every flower, every river is carefully tended by everyone."
“滴滴，滴滴！”这时，又一个声音从远处传来。萌萌顺着声音望去，只见一个圆滚滚的机器人正快速地向这边滚来。这个机器人全身是清新的绿色，脑袋圆圆的，眼睛是两个闪亮的小屏幕，肚子上的大嘴巴一张一合的，看起来像是在笑着说话。
"Dididi, Dididi!" At this moment, another voice called out from the distance. Mengmeng looked over and saw a chubby robot rolling quickly toward them. This robot was fresh green all over, with a round head, two shining little screens for eyes, and a big mouth on its tummy that opened and closed, looking like it was smiling and talking.
“我来啦！我来啦！”机器人一边滚一边喊，“对不起，我来晚了一点点！我是小回收，绿萌星球的回收机器人！”
"Here I come! Here I come!" The robot called out as it rolled over, "Sorry, I'm a tiny bit late! I'm Little Recycler, the recycling robot of Green Sprout Planet!"
小回收滚到萌萌面前，稳稳地停下来，然后用它那圆滚滚的机械手臂做了一个漂亮的鞠躬动作。“萌萌小朋友，欢迎你来到绿萌星球！滴滴和我可是专门来接你的哦！”
Little Recycler rolled up to Mengmeng and stopped steadily, then made a neat bow with its round mechanical arms. "Mengmeng little friend, welcome to Green Sprout Planet! Dididi and I are here specially to pick you up!"
萌萌开心地笑了起来：“谢谢你们！我真的很高兴能来到这里。可是我想问一下，这是什么地方？你们为什么要来接我呢？”
Mengmeng laughed happily: "Thank you so much! I'm really glad to be here. But I was wondering, where exactly is this place? And why did you come to pick me up?"
滴滴和小回收交换了一个神秘的眼神，然后滴滴开口解释道：“萌萌，你知道吗？绿萌星球正在寻找一位特别的小帮手，来帮助我们完成一个重要的任务——保护地球的生态环境！”
Dididi and Little Recycler exchanged a mysterious glance, then Dididi explained: "Mengmeng, do you know what? Green Sprout Planet is looking for a very special little helper to help us with an important mission—protecting Earth and its ecological environment!"
“保护地球的生态环境？”萌萌歪着小脑袋，好奇地问，“可是，地球有什么问题吗？”
"Protecting Earth's ecological environment?" Mengmeng tilted her little head and asked curiously, "But, is there something wrong with Earth?"
小回收用它圆滚滚的肚子（那是它的信息屏幕）投影出了一个立体的画面。萌萌看到画面上有地球——那颗美丽的蓝色星球。但是画面中的地球有些地方蒙上了一层灰蒙蒙的阴影，有的森林变成了光秃秃的山丘，有的河流变得又脏又臭，天空也不再那么蔚蓝了。
Little Recycler projected a three-dimensional image using its round tummy (which was its information screen). Mengmeng saw Earth in the image—that beautiful blue planet. But in the image, some parts of Earth were covered with a grayish haze, some forests had become bare hills, some rivers had become dirty and smelly, and the sky was no longer that brilliant blue.
“哎呀！”萌萌惊讶地叫了出来，“地球怎么变成这样了？”
"Oh no!" Mengmeng cried out in shock, "How did Earth become like this?"
滴滴轻轻叹了口气：“地球是我们宇宙中最珍贵的星球之一，居住着无数美丽的生命。可是最近这些年，地球上的很多地方都受到了污染和破坏。空气变脏了，水变浑浊了，很多动植物失去了自己的家园。”
Dididi sighed gently: "Earth is one of the most precious planets in our universe, home to countless beautiful lives. But in recent years, many places on Earth have been polluted and damaged. The air has become dirty, water has become murky, and many plants and animals have lost their homes."
“我们必须帮助地球！”小回收着急地挥动着它的小手臂，“但是光靠我们自己是不够的，我们需要像萌萌这样聪明可爱的小朋友来帮忙！”
"We must help Earth!" Little Recycler waved its little arms anxiously, "But we can't do it alone—we need smart, lovely children like Mengmeng to help!"
萌萌的眼睛一下子亮了起来：“真的吗？我能帮忙吗？我还只是个小学生呢！”
Mengmeng's eyes immediately lit up: "Really? Can I help? I'm still just an elementary school student!"
滴滴飞近萌萌，用它透明的小手轻轻拍了拍萌萌的肩膀：“当然可以啦！别看萌萌年纪小，只要我们每个人从身边的小事做起，就能汇聚成巨大的力量！接下来，就让我们带你参观一下绿萌星球，了解更多关于保护环境的知识吧！”
Dididi flew close to Mengmeng and gently patted her shoulder with its transparent little hand: "Of course! Even though Mengmeng is young, as long as each of us starts with little things around us, we can gather them into tremendous power! Now, let us take you on a tour of Green Sprout Planet and learn more about protecting the environment!"
