第 1 章：启程！什么是旅行？
一只小猫头鹰的好奇心
森林的边缘，有一棵高高的大橡树。橡树的顶端，有一个温暖的小树洞。那是小猫头鹰奥利的家。
奥利有一双圆溜溜的大眼睛，像两颗亮晶晶的星星。她的羽毛是柔软的棕色，夹杂着白色的斑点。每当夜幕降临，奥利就会睁开眼睛，好奇地望向四周。
不过，白天的奥利也很精神！虽然大多数猫头鹰在白天睡觉，但奥利不一样。她总是睁着她那双大眼睛，看着树叶间洒落的阳光，数着飞过的小鸟，听着松鼠在树枝间蹦跳的声音。
“外面的世界是什么样子的呢？”奥利常常这样想。
她从来没有离开过这片森林。在奥利小小的脑袋里，世界就只有这么大——有高大的橡树，有清凉的小溪，有跳跃的松鼠朋友，有歌唱的百灵鸟阿姨。
奥利最喜欢做的事情，就是坐在大橡树的枝头，看着天空发呆。她看着云朵从这边飘到那边，想象着云朵去过的每一个地方。
“那朵云是从很远很远的地方飘来的吗？”她问妈妈。
猫头鹰妈妈微笑着说：“宝贝，云朵去过很多很多地方呢。它们可以飘到高高的山顶，可以飘到宽宽的大海上面。”
“真的吗？”奥利睁大了眼睛，“那大海是什么样的？山顶上有什么？”
妈妈温柔地摸了摸奥利的头：“等你长大一点，就知道了。”
可是奥利等不及了。她对外面世界的渴望，就像种子一样，在心里慢慢发芽，越长越大。

*At the edge of the forest stood a tall oak tree. At the very top of the oak was a cozy little tree hollow. That was where the little owl Olivia made her home.*
*Olivia had two big round eyes that sparkled like bright stars. Her feathers were soft brown, dotted with white spots. Whenever night fell, Olivia would open her eyes wide and look around curiously.*
*But daytime Olivia was pretty active too! Although most owls sleep during the day, Olivia was different. She always kept those big eyes open, watching the sunlight filter through the leaves, counting the little birds that flew by, and listening to the squirrels hopping between the branches.*
*"I wonder what the outside world looks like?" Olivia often thought to herself.*
*She had never left this forest. In Olivia's little mind, the world was just this big—a forest with tall oak trees, a cool little stream, jumping squirrel friends, and singing Aunt Lark.*
*Olivia's favorite thing to do was sit on a branch of the big oak tree and gaze at the sky. She watched the clouds drift from one side to the other, imagining every place the clouds had visited.*
*"Did that cloud come from very, very far away?" she asked her mother.*
*Mrs. Owl smiled gently and said, "Sweetheart, clouds have traveled to many, many places. They can drift over tall mountains and across wide oceans."*
*"Really?" Olivia's eyes grew wide. "What is the ocean like? What's on top of the mountains?"*
*Her mother lovingly patted Olivia's head and said, "When you're a little bigger, you'll find out."*
*But Olivia couldn't wait. Her longing for the outside world was like a seed sprouting in her heart, growing bigger and bigger.*
风伯伯带来的神秘礼物
有一天，一阵凉爽的秋风吹进了森林。
“呼——呼——”风伯伯在树叶间穿梭，带来了秋天的消息。
奥利正在树洞口玩耍，忽然看到一片红色的东西在空中飞舞，最后轻轻地落在她的面前。
“哇！”奥利惊讶地叫了起来，“好漂亮的叶子啊！”
那是一片枫叶，红得像一团小小的火焰。叶子的形状像一只张开的小手，边缘还有漂亮的锯齿。奥利小心翼翼地用爪子捡起这片叶子，发现它的表面滑滑的，还带着一股她从来没闻过的香味。
“这不是我们森林里的叶子。”奥利自言自语道，“我们森林的叶子是绿色的呀。”
就在这时，风伯伯从树洞口探出头来，笑眯眯地说：“奥利，你好啊！我给你带了礼物呢！”
“风伯伯！这是您带来的吗？”奥利激动地扑扇着翅膀。
“对呀！”风伯伯得意地说，“我可是旅行家哦！我从很远很远的地方飞过来，一路上翻过高山，越过大海，见到了好多好多有趣的东西。这片枫叶，就是我从一座红红的山上带来的。”
“红红的山？那是什么样的山？”奥利好奇地问。
“那座山上长满了枫树，秋天的时候，所有的叶子都变成了红色、橙色和黄色，远远看去，就像一团巨大的火焰。”风伯伯一边说，一边在空中打了个旋儿，“小朋友大人们都去那里看红叶，拍照留念，开心得很呢！”
奥利听得入了迷，她把枫叶贴在胸口，觉得自己的心跳快了很多。
“风伯伯，您还去过哪些地方？给我讲讲吧！”奥利请求道。
于是，风伯伯在空中飞舞着，给奥利讲起了他的旅行故事。

*One day, a cool autumn wind blew into the forest.*
*"Whoosh—Whoosh—" Grandpa Wind danced between the tree leaves, bringing news of autumn.*
*Olivia was playing at the entrance of her tree hollow when she saw something red fluttering through the air. It finally landed gently right in front of her.*
*"Wow!" Olivia exclaimed in surprise. "What a beautiful leaf!"*
*It was a maple leaf, red like a tiny flame. The leaf was shaped like an open little hand with pretty serrated edges. Olivia carefully picked up the leaf with her claws and noticed its surface was smooth and carried a fragrance she had never smelled before.*
*"This isn't a leaf from our forest," Olivia said to herself. "The leaves in our forest are green."*
*Just then, Grandpa Wind poked his head through the tree hollow entrance, smiling warmly and said, "Hello, Olivia! I brought you a gift!"*
*"Grandpa Wind! Did you bring this?" Olivia激动地扑扇着翅膀.*
*"Yes indeed!" Grandpa Wind said proudly. "I'm a traveler, you know! I flew here from very, very far away. Along the way, I crossed tall mountains and越过了大海，saw lots of interesting things. This maple leaf, I brought it from a red mountain."*
*"A red mountain? What kind of mountain is that?" Olivia asked curiously.*
*"On that mountain grow lots of maple trees. In autumn, all the leaves turn red, orange, and yellow. From far away, it looks like a giant flame," Grandpa Wind explained while dancing through the air. "Lots of children and adults go there to see the red leaves, take photos, and have a great time!"*
*Olivia listened spellbound. She pressed the leaf to her chest and felt her heart beating faster.*
*"Grandpa Wind, what other places have you been to? Tell me about them!" Olivia asked.*
*So Grandpa Wind danced through the air and began telling Olivia stories of his travels.*
奥利的旅行梦想
风伯伯的故事可真多啊！
他讲到了蓝色的大海，海浪拍打着金色的沙滩，孩子们在沙滩上堆城堡，小鱼在清澈的海水里游来游去。
他讲到了高高的雪山，山顶一年四季都盖着白白的雪，像戴了一顶白色的帽子。勇敢的登山者一步一步往上爬，想要到达最高的顶点。
他讲到了广阔的草原，草原上住着很多动物朋友——奔跑的骏马、跳来跳去的兔子、还有在天空中飞翔的老鹰。
他讲到了繁华的城市，高高的大楼一座挨着一座，霓虹灯在夜晚闪闪发光，马路上的汽车像甲虫一样跑来跑去。
“哇——”奥利听得眼睛都直了，“世界原来这么大，这么有趣！”
“那当然！”风伯伯笑着说，“不过，这只是我见过的一小部分呢。世界很大很大，还有很多很多美丽的地方等着我们去发现。”
奥利低下了头，看着手中的枫叶，轻轻地说：“我也想去旅行。我想去看看大海，去爬爬雪山，去草原上奔跑。可是……我从来没有离开过这片森林，我有点害怕。”
风伯伯轻轻地吹了吹奥利的羽毛，温柔地说：“奥利，害怕是很正常的。每个勇敢的旅行者，在出发前都会有些紧张。但是，只要迈出第一步，你就会发现，外面的世界没有想象中那么可怕。相反，它比你想象的还要精彩呢！”
奥利抬起头，眼睛里闪烁着光芒：“真的吗？”
“真的！”风伯伯肯定地说，“而且，你知道吗？旅行不仅能让我们看到美丽的风景，还能让我们变得更勇敢、更聪明、更有见识。每一次旅行，都是一次成长。”
“那我要去旅行！”奥利握紧了那片枫叶，“我要去探索这个大大的世界！”

*He talked about tall snow-capped mountains, with white snow covering the peaks year-round, like wearing a white hat. Brave mountaineers climbed step by step, wanting to reach the very top.*
*He talked about vast grasslands, where many animal friends lived—galloping horses, hopping rabbits, and eagles soaring through the sky.*
*He talked about bustling cities, with tall buildings standing side by side, neon lights sparkling at night, and cars crawling along the streets like little beetles.*
*"Wow—" Olivia stared wide-eyed, completely absorbed. "The world is so big and so interesting!"*
*"Of course!" Grandpa Wind laughed. "But that's only a small part of what I've seen. The world is very, very big, and there are so many beautiful places waiting for us to discover."*
*Olivia lowered her head, looking at the leaf in her claws, and softly said, "I want to travel too. I want to see the ocean, climb snow mountains, run on grasslands. But... I've never left this forest, and I'm a bit scared."*
*Grandpa Wind gently blew on Olivia's feathers and said gently, "Olivia, being scared is normal. Every brave traveler feels nervous before setting off. But once you take that first step, you'll discover the outside world isn't as scary as you imagined. On the contrary, it's even more wonderful than you can imagine!"*
*Olivia looked up, her eyes sparkling with light. "Really?"*
*"Really!" Grandpa Wind affirmed. "And you know what? Travel not only lets us see beautiful scenery but also makes us braver, smarter, and more knowledgeable. Every trip is a chance to grow."*
*"Then I'm going to travel!" Olivia gripped the maple leaf tightly. "I'm going to explore this big, big world!"*
森林里的朋友们
奥利想要旅行的消息，很快就在森林里传开了。
“奥利要当旅行家啦！”小松鼠跳跳第一个跑来祝贺她。
跳跳是一只活泼可爱的小松鼠，有一条蓬松的大尾巴。她是奥利最好的朋友，经常来找奥利玩耍。
“跳跳！”奥利高兴地叫道，“我也想带你去旅行！我们可以一起去看看外面的世界！”
“太好了！”跳跳兴奋地摇着尾巴，“我早就想去看看大海了！我听说海边有很多很多的松果……呃不对，是很多很多的贝壳！我们可以捡贝壳回来做项链！”
两只小动物开心地抱在一起，笑声回荡在森林里。
这时候，一只小乌龟慢慢地从草丛里爬了出来。
“你好，奥利。我听说你要去旅行？”小乌龟慢悠悠地说。
“是你啊，稳稳！”奥利热情地打招呼。稳稳是一只小乌龟，虽然行动很慢，但是他的学问可不少。
“对对对，我也想去旅行！”跳跳抢着说，“稳稳，你跟我们一起去吧！”
稳稳摇了摇头：“旅行是好事情，不过我走得太慢了。我怕拖累你们。”
“别这么说！”奥利认真地说，“旅行不在乎走得快慢，重要的是在路上看到什么、学到什么。而且，我们可以等你呀！”
稳稳的眼眶湿润了：“谢谢你们。可是，我从来没有离开过这片森林……”
“谁说的？”一个清脆的声音从头顶传来。
大家抬头一看，原来是小燕子飞飞。飞飞有着漂亮的黑色羽毛和白色的肚皮，尾巴像一把小剪刀。
“我记得稳稳去年夏天去过小河边的那片草地呢！”飞飞骄傲地说，“我还看到你在那里晒太阳呢！”
稳稳不好意思地笑了笑：“那确实是一次小小的旅行。原来，走出家门，去一个自己没去过的地方，就算是旅行啊。”
“对呀！”飞飞在空中飞舞着，“旅行就是离开自己熟悉的地方，去看看不一样的地方，认识不一样的人，体验不一样的生活。这就是旅行的意义！”
