The Roar Within · 内心的咆哮
Have you ever noticed that special feeling deep inside your heart? It might be the warmth in your palms when you try something new for the first time. It might be the gentle glow in your chest when someone says, "You did a wonderful job." Or it might be that mysterious feeling when you look into the mirror and catch your own eyes staring back—a tiny voice that wants to whisper, "I can do this." That feeling is the truest voice from deep within you, telling you something extraordinary: you are stronger than you think, and braver than you imagine.
This chapter is about a very special adventure—not one where you search for buried treasure or walk through enchanted forests. This is an adventure that takes you deep inside yourself, to meet a friend you may not know very well yet: the real YOU.
Are you ready? Let's begin!

Maybe you've had this experience before:
During class, the teacher asked a question, and you knew the answer. Your heart was shouting, "I know! I know!" But your hand stayed glued to the desk. You were afraid of getting it wrong. You were afraid people would laugh. So you stayed quiet. You told yourself, "Never mind—someone else probably knows better than me."
Or maybe you watched another kid do something really cool—like sing on a stage, ride a bike without training wheels, or get a high score on a math test—and you thought, "Wow, she's so amazing. I could never do that. I'm just the kind of person who... isn't very good at things."
But if any of this sounds familiar, please don't worry. You are not alone. Almost every girl has felt unsure of herself at one time or another.
Now let's meet a new friend: confidence.
No way! That's not what confidence is at all. Confidence is not believing you are better than everyone else, and it's not thinking you can do absolutely everything perfectly.
Confidence comes from the Latin word "confidere," which means "to trust fully." So at its heart, confidence means trusting yourself.
This includes trusting that you can learn new things, trusting that you can keep going when things get hard, trusting that you deserve to be treated well, and trusting that you are valuable even when you make mistakes.
Confidence isn't "I am perfect." Confidence is "I am not perfect, and that's okay—because I am always trying and always growing."
Think about your favorite superhero. Did she never face any challenges? Of course not! What makes her a hero isn't that she never failed—it's that she never gave up.
You are the same way. Your power isn't in never falling down. Your power is in getting back up.

(Superpowers)🌟
Not a superhero from a comic book—not that kind of superpower. I'm talking about real, YOU-specific superpowers that make you uniquely wonderful.
Let's discover them together, one step at a time.
Superpowers are the things you naturally do well, or the things that feel easy and joyful when you do them. They might be talents, or they might be personality strengths—like being incredibly patient, or having a gift for making people smile.
Everyone has different superpowers, and everyone's combination is one of a kind—just like no two snowflakes are exactly alike, and no two people are either.
That's like thinking your eyes are boring because everyone's got them! But actually, the things that come easily to you are often your greatest superpowers.
For example, if you're good at drawing, you might think, "But there are tons of people who draw better than me." But do you know what? Being able to draw means you have extraordinary observation skills, imagination, and the ability to express yourself—put those together, and that's a truly amazing power!
Today, we're going to do something wonderful: discover YOUR superpowers!
First clue: pay attention to what makes you lose track of time. Think about it—is there something you enjoy so much that hours slip by without you even noticing? That is often where your passion lives, and where your superpowers hide!
If you lose track of time while drawing, you might have a creativity superpower. If you lose track of time while chatting with friends and telling stories, you might have a social superpower. If you lose track of time while exploring a tiny insect or solving a tricky math puzzle, you might have a curiosity and learning superpower.
Second clue: listen to the nice things others say about you. Other people can often see strengths in us that we can't see ourselves! Ask your parents, teachers, and friends: "What do you think I'm best at?" or "What do you think are my good qualities?" Their answers might surprise you!
Third clue: think about how you behave when things get tough. The way you respond to challenges reveals a lot about your superpowers. If you don't give up easily when things are hard, you have the superpower of resilience. If you can still make people laugh even when you're nervous, you have the superpower of humor. If you can stay calm and think clearly under pressure, you have the superpower of composure.
Now for the fun part! Let's create your very own "Superpower Card"!
