Welcome, Little One! /
In the depths of the forest, there was a sunny clearing where Baby Bear Cub's family lived. Baby Bear Cub had a lovely name: Beibei. His favorite thing was running around in the forest, chasing butterflies and watching little squirrels hop about. But recently, Beibei discovered something truly magical—his family was going to have a new baby!
"Beibei, do you know?" Mama Bear said gently, patting Beibei's fluffy little head, "Soon, you're going to be a big brother!"
"Be a big brother?" Beibei's eyes sparkled with excitement, "Is it like how Big Bear Brother takes care of Little Bear? I've seen him teach Little Bear to catch fish and help Little Bear pick honey!"
Mama Bear smiled and nodded, "Yes, you'll be a wonderful big brother. But before that, shall we go see what a newborn baby looks like?"
Beibei was so happy he did a somersault on the ground, "Yes yes! I can't wait to see!"

So, on a warm afternoon, Papa Bear took Beibei to the forest clinic to visit Doctor Owl. Doctor Owl was the wisest elder in the forest—she knew many things about the forest, about animals, and about babies.
"Doctor Owl!" Beibei shouted excitedly when he saw her, "I'm going to be a big brother soon! What do newborn babies look like?"
Doctor Owl flew down from the tall tree branch and landed in front of Beibei. She blinked her big round eyes and began telling the story of newborn babies.

Little Baby's Tiny Hands and Feet
"You know what, Beibei," Doctor Owl said softly, "Newborn babies have hands and feet that are really, really small."
"How small exactly?" Beibei asked curiously.
Doctor Owl gestured with her wings, "Like... hmm... like just the tip of your little paw. Their fingers are slender and soft, each finger chubby, with tiny transparent fingernails that look pink and tender."
Beibei looked down at his own little paws. "So tiny!" he exclaimed.
"That's right," Doctor Owl continued, "A baby's tiny feet are the same—small, soft, and chubby, with little toes one by one, especially cute. Do you know what? Newborn babies have a soft membrane connecting their fingers and toes, like a little duck's webbed feet, but it will separate as they grow bigger."
Papa Bear added from the side, "Beibei, do you know? The nurse said that newborn babies have a fixed number of fingers and toes—ten fingers and ten toes!"
Beibei seriously counted his fingers and toes, "One, two, three, four, five... wow, it's really ten!"
Doctor Owl laughed and said, "When you meet your little brother or sister, you can gently count their tiny fingers and toes. But remember, you must touch ever so gently, because a baby's skin is so tender, just like the softest flower petals."

The Secrets of Baby's Head
"Doctor Owl," Beibei tilted his little head and asked, "Is there anything else special about babies?"
Doctor Owl nodded, "Of course! Have you ever wondered what a newborn baby's head looks like?"
Beibei shook his head, "I haven't seen one before."
"Let me tell you," Doctor Owl said, "When babies are just born, their heads aren't round. They're a bit oval-shaped, flat and soft."
"Why are they flat?" Beibei became even more curious.
"Because babies have to pass through a little path in Mommy's tummy to come into this world," Doctor Owl explained patiently, "That path is sometimes very narrow. To get through smoothly, babies have to adjust their heads into the most suitable shape. So when they're first born, the head might be a little deformed, but don't worry—it will gradually become round again in a few days."
Beibei suddenly understood, "So that's how it is! Babies are so smart!"
"But there's something even more amazing!" Doctor Owl blinked her eyes, "Do you know? A baby has two soft spots on their head. Scientists call them 'fontanelles.'"
"Fontanelle?" Beibei had never heard this word before, "What is that? Is the baby sick?"
"No no no," Papa Bear quickly said, "A fontanelle isn't a sickness—it's a sign that the baby is healthy and normal!"
Doctor Owl explained, "Beibei, you see, a baby's bones are different from adults'. An adult's skull is made of pieces tightly connected together, but a baby's skull hasn't fully grown yet, so there are small gaps between the bones. Where these gaps are, it feels soft when you touch it. The largest and most obvious one is at the front of the baby's head, and it's called the 'anterior fontanelle.'"
Beibei carefully touched the top of his own head, "Mine feels hard!"
"That's right, because you've grown up," Doctor Owl laughed, "When you grow bigger, the fontanelle will gradually get smaller too. Around when the baby is one to one and a half years old, these soft spots will completely heal and become hard bone."
Papa Bear added, "So the soft spots on a baby's head are normal. We just need to gently protect them, avoid pressing hard or bumping into them."
Beibei nodded seriously, "I understand. I'll take good care of the baby's head!"

Baby's Adorable Expressions
"By the way, Beibei," Doctor Owl smiled mysteriously, "Do you know? Even though babies can't talk yet, they have so many expressions!"
"Really?" Beibei's eyes sparkled, "What expressions can babies make?"
Doctor Owl counted on her fluffy wing feathers, "Babies can yawn, sneeze, hiccup, furrow their brows, smile with their little mouths, and cry..."
"Yawning?" Beibei imagined it, "Is it like little kittens, opening their mouths wide and letting out a long breath?"
"Yes yes yes, exactly!" Doctor Owl nodded repeatedly, "When babies yawn, they open their mouths especially wide, and their eyes sometimes squint into a little slit. They look incredibly cute. Sometimes when babies yawn, they also stretch like little lazy animals, raising their tiny paws above their heads and kicking their little feet."
Papa Bear laughed, "Beibei was like that when he was born
