In a sunlit forest clearing, where wildflowers bloomed in every direction, there stood a cozy little wooden cottage with green vines climbing up its roof. From the chimney came gentle wisps of warm smoke. Inside this cottage lived the loving Bear family—Papa Bear, Mama Bear, and two adorable bear cubs: Big Bear and Little Bear.

Today, Big Bear and Little Bear came home from school to find their parents sitting on the living room sofa, with a thick photo album and a pile of old photographs spread out before them.

"Mama! Papa! What are you looking at?" Big Bear rushed over curiously, while Little Bear stretched up on tiptoes trying to peek.

Papa Bear smiled and patted the cushion beside him. "Come, children. Sit with Mama and me. Today, we want to tell you a story—a story about our family."

Mama Bear gently turned to the first page of the album. There was an old, slightly yellowed photograph. In it, the young Papa Bear and Mama Bear stood beneath a grand oak tree, both dressed in beautiful clothes, smiling happily.

Papa Bear laughed, a hint of shyness in his smile. "It was a bright spring day. Mama and I went to the Forest Spring Festival. That's where we first saw each other. Your mama was helping Aunt Squirrel sell honey pancakes—"

Little Bear was completely absorbed in the story. "And then? Did you move in together after that?"

Big Bear's Memories of Being an Only Child

Mama Bear picked up the story. "When Big Bear was learning to walk, it was so funny. You'd wobble and wobble, then plop right down. But you were so brave—you'd get right back up, brush off your little paws, and keep going. Mama thought, our Big Bear is such a strong little cub."
